The Retirement of Dr. Wayne Gerig, OD | Letter to Patients

Dear Valued Patients,

There are some exciting changes upcoming at 20/20 Vision Source.

After forty years of practicing optometry here in Tigard, I have decided to retire and spend more time with my family. I have sold the practice to my esteemed colleague Dr. Jenna McBride. The sale will be effective August 15, 2023. Dr. McBride comes from a family of optometrists, and I know she will continue to provide top-quality eye care here in our office.

I am impressed with the caliber of talent and quality of care demonstrated by Dr. Jenna McBride. Dr. McBride is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a prestigious academic organization that recognizes knowledgeable and experienced professionals who have met the high standards of professional competence in eye care. Out of several options, I selected her, as well as my associate optometrist, Dr. Jeanine OSaurus, to continue providing comprehensive, personalized eye care with the latest in state-of-the-art technology. I have great faith in them both and I am confident that I am leaving you in excellent hands with Drs. McBride and OSaurus.

Your medical data will remain with the office as I move on so we are able to seamlessly continue your care. You can access your records and obtain copies by calling our office. Some of you may want to see or speak to me, and you can reach out to me while I am still here. I will continue seeing patients on Fridays for a short amount of time, so if you would like to schedule an appointment with me, please reach out soon.

Again, caring for my patients has been a great source of satisfaction and pleasure for me all these years. Despite all of the changes occurring at 20/20 Vision Source, there is one thing that will never change– our dedication to your complete vision wellness.
